Junior Surf ('Nippers') runs a comprehensive and fun filled series of activities for a wide age group of kids, starting at 5 years of age and going through to 12 year olds, before joining the cadets (12 and 13 year olds).
The summer programme involves a lot of beach activity and introduces the 5, 6 and 7 year olds to the surf environment. As the child ages, so does the skill levels and water activity. All this activity is followed by a sausage sizzle and a drink back at the club house.
The 2011/12 summer beach programme will run every Sunday morning (10am - 12pm) from Sunday 6th November 2011 through to Sunday 4 March 2012, with 2 weeks off for the Christmas/New Year break.
The most vital component of our surf programme is parental involvement. It is a requirement that parents stay on the beach with their children, mainly for safety reasons, but also to get involved and give the coaches a hand. The kids love their mum and dad getting involved.

JUNIOR SURF REGISTRATION DAY:
Sunday 2 October 2011 10am to 12.30pm.
This is also an open day/have a go day from 10am to 4pm. On this day kids can have a go on boards & get an IRB ride!
If you are unable to make this registration day, you can register any Sunday from 6 November before Junior Surf starts, 9.30 to 10am.
